The sight of luscious Venetian glass beads glimmering in a shop window first caught Dorian Webb’s eye in 1990, and changed the course of her career. Today, those exquisitely crafted treasures are a Viaggio signature. Each of the hundreds of Venetian glass flowers, leaves and drops that can make up a single chandelier are still created using traditional, centuries old techniques in Murano, Italy. Individually handcrafted, each glass piece takes two days for the finest of Venetian “maestri” to complete. Either lampworked over an open flame, or handblown, each Venetian glass bead we use proudly reveals the legacy of its superb craftsmanship with surfaces that glisten with sterling, 24 karat gold or white gold.
