New Era formally showcased a new smaller 1mm pellet size fish food, dubbed ‘XS’. While we previewedReefapalooza今年早些时候,mainstre发布am officially at Interzoo 2014. The smaller 1mm size makes it a good fit for smaller gobies and schooling anthias. The New Era XS size is available for the Marine, Aegis and Algae pellets. Much of their freshwater line will include this size as well.
In addition to the new pellet size, the XS (1mm) and S (1.5mm) pellets will also be available in a smaller 60 gram container, half the size of their previously smallest container. For those requiring larger pellets, they’ve also added a 4mm, 8mm and 12mm size. Public aquariums may find their new 6mm and 15mm Marine Strand feed interesting. It’s designed to enrich larger foods used by these institutions. The example given was to stuff frozen squid with Marine Strand before feeding larger predators like sharks. They are the first to market a dry food for such apex predators.
