The new Red Sea Max E Series that we saw back in May 2014 might not be arriving anytime soon. Red Sea a major manufacturer of aquarium equipment and supplies worldwide has not specifically promised a release date anytime this year. Rather we are expected to see the new tanks sometime in the first quarter of 2015 or in the later half of 2015 if it is a worse case scenario. The newMax E series from Red Seaincludes a 130, 200 and 300 liter size, about 34, 52 and 80 US gallons respectively. The thing everyone is so excited about is these are the first all in one tanks from Red Sea that offer build in LEDs something that we have been asking for the better part of four years.
We still don’t have a MSRP but if things hold true we might see the new tanks with a 15 percent higher retail because of the associated engineering and building costs of the new LED lighting system. Historically, the Red Sea max series has been extremely popular with both new aquarists and more seasoned aquarists the world over. Until they arrive we will all wait in eager expectation.
