The Zetlight UFO is a very interesting LED light with a design that immediately grabs your attention. Oftentimes, manufacturers create designs to make up for limitations of their products in other areas, but the Zetlight UFO is one light that performs as good as it looks.

Cons:
- Fan noise increases as fixture temperature goes up and is sometimes loud at start-up.
- Manufacturer app seems un-polished and doesn’t have nearly as many timer slots as competing lights.
- Clouds dim in and out too rapidly to simulate clouds and just look weird.
- Cord retainer clips that came with the light all snapped in half randomly after being installed.
- Additional plug for the wireless control access point is redundant and annoying.
- Moonlight ring casts no light into the tank but it looks cool.
Pros:
- Spectrum is very full with a nice crisp white look that allows the blues to penetrate and bring out the fluorescence in corals.
- Blue channels are extremely powerful and bring out tons of Color.
- Once programmed it runs through its daily routine very reliably.
- Looks very sleek over the aquarium.
- 山ing arm has multiple adjustment points which gives limitless options for positioning the light.
- Corals adapted well with very obvious and easy to accomodate feedbacks. Seems like it was easier to get tuned in than most LED lights.
A couple things that stand out about the Zetlight UFO is howbalancedthe spectrum appears to be, no matter what setting you use for the different color channels. From deep blue to full spectrum, the colors of the corals is very well defined, and various shades of red and orange are clearly rendered.
The other thing that is striking about the Zetlight UFO is how prominent the glitter lines are, even though the light spread is very uniform. Somehow Zetlight created a light that has a more concentrated focal point light source, while still evenly illuminating this 24 inch aquarium from edge to edge.
This is one LED light that we would be happy to use for a wide range of aquarium applications, and of course that outer-space design is pretty easy on the eyes as well.
