A new upgrade chip has just popped up in the Ecotech Marine parts store with the very curious title of ‘Mobius Capable RF Module’. We recently learned from a recent presentation by Pat Klasen and Jay Sperandio that all Ecotech Marine hardware – Radions, Vortechs, and Vectras – with few exceptions, have been shipping with a Mobius capable wireless communication chip for some time already.
The Mobius control platform has been in various degrees of beta testing behind the scenes for almost a year now, and of course the new Versa dosing pump is only compatible with the new Mobius app. Therelease of the Versacoincided with the public release of Mobius, and since the software is now out in the wild, we’re left wondering when Ecotech Marine will bring the rest of their hardware catalog, and perhaps even AI devices, into the new platform for master controls.
