User ‘Ksmken’ showcases his system on the New Zealand Marine Aquarium Society forum. The display is a 900 liter tank (approximately 240 gallons) measuring 98 x 24 x24 in. (250 x 60 x 60 cm) with a 270 liter (about 70 gallons) sump that is 35 x 24 x 24 in. (90 x 60 x 50 cm). The system is lit by five Maxpect LED fixtures, which do a pretty amazing job pulling out the great rich and wonderful coloration in the corals and adding that colorful ‘pop’ from above. Four Tunze 6155’s on a controller are used to provide flow. Filtration is provided by a Deltec Ap851 and a Bubble Magus NAC7 skimmer. A variety of Zeovit products are dosed, which including Start3, Amino Acids, Potassium iodine fluoride, Iodide Complex Concentrate, Sponge powder, Food7, Coral vitalizer, and Ultra Bac. In addition, Zeo stones and Zeo Carbon are used as well.
To experience the whole system, be sure to check out Ksmken’s build thread over atNZMAS.
